Terms of service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

These terms govern your use of the All Currency Converter mobile app, published on Google Play under the listing name Currency Converter Offline, and of this website, including the converter it runs in your browser. By downloading, installing or using either one, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the site.

The app is free to download and use. Some features are part of a paid Pro upgrade, described in full below. Everything the app and the site show about exchange rates is provided for information only, and is not a quote, an offer or financial advice.

Who these terms are between

These terms form a binding agreement between you, the user, and Codeur d'Ivoire, the publisher of All Currency Converter. Where the terms say we or us, they mean Codeur d'Ivoire. Where they say the service, they mean the mobile app, this website and the rates API that serves them both.

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app, but the Google Play terms also apply to your download and to any purchase you make there.

Accepting these terms

By using the service, you confirm the following.

  • You have read, understood and accepted these terms.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, or you have the permission of whoever is responsible for you.
  • You accept our privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement and explains how your data is handled.
  • You are responsible for how the service is used on your device, and for the internet and mobile data charges that use generates.

What the service is

All Currency Converter converts amounts between 148 currencies using exchange rates supplied by ExchangeRate-API and refreshed hourly. Concretely, the service offers the following.

  • Conversion from one source currency to several target currencies at once, with a built-in calculator in the amount field.
  • A full offline mode: the app keeps the last synced rates on your device and keeps converting with no connection.
  • Historical charts and statistics for a pair, from seven days to one year, with minimum, maximum, average and percentage variation.
  • Rate alerts that send a push notification when a pair crosses a threshold you set or moves by a percentage you choose.
  • An Android home screen widget showing three chosen pairs with their rates and trend charts.
  • CSV and PDF export of conversions, historical rates or the full rate table, and Google Drive backup and restore of your settings.
  • A converter on this website that runs in your browser, with no installation and no account.
  • The service is informational. It does not execute currency transactions, does not hold funds and does not constitute financial advice.

Your licence to use the app

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download, install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own purposes.

This licence gives you a right to use the app. It transfers no ownership of the app, its code, its design or its content.

What you may not do

You agree not to do any of the following, whether yourself or through anyone acting for you.

  • Copy, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the app or the site.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
  • Distribute, rent, lend, sell or sublicense the app, or redistribute it outside Google Play.
  • Circumvent, remove, block or interfere with the advertising shown in the free version, or with the checks that determine whether Pro features are unlocked.
  • Use robots, scrapers or other automated means to extract rates or content from the app, the site or our API.
  • Overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the servers and networks that serve the app and the site.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else.

The rates are indicative, not a quote

This is the most important clause on this page, and the one most likely to matter to you in practice.

The rates shown in the app and on this site are mid-market rates supplied by a third-party provider, ExchangeRate-API, and refreshed hourly. The mid-market rate is the midpoint between the buy and the sell price on the interbank market. It is the rate before any margin is added, which means it is not the rate you will be given at a counter.

  • The rates are indicative and provided for information only. They are not a quote and not an offer to exchange currency.
  • We do not warrant that they are accurate, complete, current or uninterrupted, and we depend on a third-party provider we do not control.
  • The rates actually applied by banks, bureaux de change, card networks and payment providers include a margin and fees, and will differ, sometimes significantly.
  • In offline mode the app converts using the last rates it synced, which may be hours or days old. The app shows you when they were last updated.
  • The service must not be used as the sole basis for a financial transaction, for trading, or for any decision where the exact rate matters.
  • You are responsible for verifying the applicable rate with your own financial institution before you commit to anything.

Free features and their allowances

The app is free to download and its core converter, including offline mode, historical charts and the full list of 148 currencies, is free to use with no time limit and no account.

Two features are free within a defined allowance. You may keep one active rate alert at a time without paying. The Android home screen widget works with live data for seven days from the moment you add it to your home screen, after which it needs Pro. These allowances apply per installation, and we may change them for future users without changing what you have already paid for.

Advertising in the free version

The free version of the app is funded by advertising served through Google AdMob. By using the free version, you accept that advertising is displayed. We do not select, write or control the content of third-party advertisements and accept no responsibility for them; complaints about a specific advertisement should go to Google.

You can suspend advertising for a limited period by watching an optional rewarded video, and you can remove it entirely by upgrading to Pro. How advertising affects your data, and how to opt out of personalisation at device level, is set out in the privacy policy.

The Pro upgrade: plans and billing

Pro unlocks the features reserved for it: no advertising, Google Drive backup and restore, CSV and PDF export, more than one active rate alert, and the home screen widget beyond its free window.

Pro is offered in three forms: a monthly subscription, an annual subscription that begins with a seven-day free trial, and a one-off lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and confirmed by Google Play before you pay. Subscriptions are sold and charged through your Google Play account, and entitlements are managed on our behalf by RevenueCat.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Google Play charges the payment method registered on your account. The lifetime purchase is a single payment that unlocks the Pro features on that Google account without any recurring charge, for as long as the app remains available and functional; it is not a promise that the app or its servers will exist indefinitely.

If we change the price of a subscription, Google Play notifies you in advance and asks for your agreement before the new price applies. You are free to cancel instead.

The free trial

The seven-day free trial is offered on the annual plan only, once per Google account, and only where the store makes it available. During the trial you have full Pro access.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid annual subscription and your payment method is charged. Cancelling during the trial keeps your access until the trial period ends and prevents any charge.

Cancelling, refunds and withdrawal

You cancel a subscription in the Google Play Store, under Subscriptions, not in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its published refund policy, and we have limited ability to grant one on your behalf. Write to us anyway if something went wrong with a purchase and we will help where we can.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content. That right ends once supply has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose it, which is what happens when Pro is unlocked immediately after purchase. Nothing in these terms removes the mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence.

Restoring a purchase and changing device

Your Pro entitlement is attached to the Google account that bought it. Installing the app on another device signed in with the same account restores it, and the app offers a restore action if it does not appear automatically.

Because the app has no account of its own, we cannot move an entitlement from one Google account to another, and we cannot restore a purchase made on a store account you no longer control.

If a renewal payment fails

A renewal payment can fail. Google Play then decides whether to keep the subscription running for a short while so you can update your payment method, and the app follows what the store reports about your entitlement — we grant no access of our own beyond it.

While that window is open, Settings tells you access continues and shows the date it ends. Once Google Play reports the subscription as no longer giving access, Pro features stop.

Rate alerts are delivered on a best-effort basis

Alerts are evaluated on a schedule against the rates we receive, and delivered through Google's push notification service. Delivery therefore depends on your network, your device notification settings, battery optimisation policies, and third-party systems we do not control.

We do not guarantee that an alert will be evaluated at any particular moment, that it will fire, or that it will reach you in time to act on it. Do not rely on an alert as the trigger for a time-critical financial decision. An alert deactivates itself once it has fired, and creating it again is up to you.

Google Drive backup

Backup writes a file to the application data folder of your own Google Drive. The file is yours: it lives in your account, under your control, and we neither host it nor read it.

You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account. If you delete the backup, lose the account or revoke the app access, we cannot recover the contents. Backup covers your settings, favourites, converter setup, alerts and widget configuration; it is not a backup of anything else on your device.

Availability, updates and changes

We may at any time, and without prior notice, modify, suspend or discontinue the service or any of its features, carry out maintenance and updates, change these terms, or withdraw the app from the store. Material changes to these terms are announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.

We do not warrant that the service will always be available, or that it will run without interruption or error. Features may also depend on the version of the app you have installed and on the third-party services it relies on.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the service, including the source code, the graphics, the design, the icons, the copy on this website and the name All Currency Converter, belong to Codeur d'Ivoire or to its licensors. These terms grant you a limited right to use the service and nothing more.

Open-source components included in the app and on this site remain under their own licences, which are listed on the licences page. Trademarks, logos and service marks belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners, and their appearance in the service implies no affiliation or endorsement.

Third-party services and links

The service depends on third parties, including ExchangeRate-API for rates, Google for distribution, payments, advertising, push notifications and Drive backup, RevenueCat for entitlements and Cloudflare for our API. We are not responsible for their availability, their accuracy or their own failures, and their terms apply to your use of them.

The app and the site may link to external websites. Those links are provided for convenience. We do not control what is on the other end and accept no responsibility for their content, their policies or their practices. Following them is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the following limits apply. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

  • The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
  • We are not liable for financial loss, conversion errors, transactions carried out on the basis of an inaccurate or outdated rate, or any financial decision taken using the service.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for loss of profit, loss of data or loss of opportunity.
  • We are not liable for the failures of the third-party services the app depends on, including the rates provider, the store, the advertising network and the push notification service.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims arising from the service is limited to the greater of ten euros or the amount you paid us for Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Codeur d'Ivoire, its officers, employees and partners against any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use or misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of the rights of a third party.

Ending your use of the service

You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling deletes the data stored on your device, and does not cancel an active subscription, which you cancel in the Google Play Store.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, in which case you must stop using the app and remove it from your devices. Clauses that by their nature survive termination, in particular those on intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, remain in force.

Privacy

The collection and use of your personal data is governed by our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. It explains what the app collects, what stays on your device, how advertising through Google AdMob works, and how to exercise your rights. By using the service, you accept that policy as well.

Technical requirements

The app runs on Android 8.0 or later, on phones and tablets, and is distributed through Google Play. An iOS version is in development. You need enough free storage for the app and its rate cache, and an internet connection to synchronise rates, though not to convert once they are synced.

Some features have their own requirements: notification permission for rate alerts, a Google account for Drive backup, and a Google Play account for any purchase. You are responsible for the internet and mobile data charges your use generates.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any dispute relating to the service or to these terms falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to any mandatory rule to the contrary.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.

Severability, entire agreement and language

If any provision of these terms is held invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable while preserving its purpose, and the remaining provisions stay in full force.

These terms, together with the privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service, and replace any earlier agreement or understanding on the same subject.

These terms are published in French and in English. In the event of a discrepancy of interpretation between the two versions, the French version prevails.

Contact

For any question about these terms, about a purchase or about the service in general, write to support@codeurdivoire.com, or use the contact entry in the app settings. Tell us which version of the app you are using and which device you are on, so the answer can be a useful one.
